I'm Arun CK

Namaskara — I’m Arun C K, a typeface designer focused on Kannada and Latin scripts. I design, engineer, and release open fonts with attention to readability, aesthetics, and robust OpenType feature support.

My work starts from practical societal needs to the public release of fonts. I build families (including variable fonts), refine spacing, and implement OpenType features for complex Indic behaviors.

Recent projects include a handwriting typeface using variable font technology, suitable for animation and multiple weights. I also work on fonts and related technologies to give the Kannada script a wider variety of typefaces.

My motto is to bring greater variety to the “Queen of World Scripts (Vishva Lipigala Rani).”
